Description:  Consider approving an Inter-District Agreement with the Jersey Shore Area School District to provide supplementary Title I services for one educationally disadvantaged student who resides within the Jersey Shore Area School District, but attends St. John Neumann Regional Academy in the Williamsport Area School District. Title I services will be in accordance with the approved Title I equitable nonpublic funding.

 

Description:  Consider approving the Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) Plans for Cochran Primary School, Curtin Intermediate School, and the Williamsport Area High School for the 2026-27 school year, and authorizing the Board President and the Superintendent to sign and affirm the contents of the TSI Plans are true and correct. The Plan will be submitted by August 30, 2026.
 

Description:  Consider approving a letter of agreement for school-based outreach services and student assistance services with Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board for the 2026-27 school year. The joinder designates three qualified casework level positions to provide information and referral, assessment of needs, prevention, and short-term intervention for students and families in the District. The District will reimburse the Joinder $51,975 to help offset the salary of three Joinder employees that have been assigned to provide services. Costs will be paid through the Student Services Budget..
 

Description:  Consider approving a letter of agreement with the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board to provide a Student Assistance Program (SAP) liaison for the 2026-27 school year. There will be no cost to the District for this service.
 

Description:  Consider approval of the Liberty University course HPEG-200: Girls Health II.  The request includes a course weight of 1.4, will factor into the grade point average for the student, and will appear on their transcript. The course would be eligible to meet .5 credits of the Health/Physical Education graduation requirement. This course will count towards class rank if total credits do not exceed eight course credits for the 2026-27 school year. The course description has been reviewed and approved by the high school principal and department lead. Cost of the course is the responsibility of the family. The final grade must be reported at the completion of the semester on a transcript from the university.

Board Policy #903, "Public Participation in Board Meetings":

• There will be two public comment sections:  one during the first two hours of the meeting at a time to be determined by the presiding officer; and the other at the end of the meeting. This gives the presiding officer some flexibility to fit the first public comment section into the agenda at a convenient time.
   
• Persons submitting a formal request to speak during the first public comments section should be present promptly at the beginning of the meeting in the event that they are invited to speak prior to commencement of the scheduled business that is outlined in the agenda.  Persons who have submitted a written request will be given an opportunity to make a presentation about an issue that is on the agenda when the issue is scheduled for discussion or about an issue that is not on the agenda during the first two hours of the Board meeting, at a time to be determined by the presiding officer.
   
• Each public comment section will be limited to a maximum of 20 minutes.  Each speaker will be limited to a maximum of five minutes.
   
• Those wishing to speak during the first public comments section must submit a formal request in writing to the business administrator no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day of the Board meeting. This gives people an opportunity to come to the District Service Center on Monday before the Board meeting to read the posted agenda.
