Welcome to the Workshop Meeting of the Lehighton Area School District Board of Directors. This meeting serves as a Committee of the Whole and includes reports and discussions related to Academic Affairs, Policy, Finance, Athletics, Buildings & Grounds, Personnel, Technology, and Safety & Wellness. Public comment is now open and opportunities will be provided at the conclusion of each committee's portion of the agenda. Comments should be limited to matters related to the committee currently under discussion. Please note that this meeting is being recorded. Speakers will be recognized in the order in which they signed up. When called upon, please state your name and municipality of residence for the record. Each speaker will be allotted three (3) minutes. We respectfully request that all comments be directed to the presiding officer and presented in a courteous and respectful manner. The Board values public participation and encourages constructive dialogue. 2.3. PA Beef and Veal in the Classroom Grant
Description:
For 2026-2027 the Lehighton Area School District was approved for 2 grants from the Pennsylvania Beef Council for the Middle School Family Consumer Science class and the High School Family Consumer Science class for cooking lessons. We are awaiting final details.

4.1. 403(B) Plan Resolution
Description:
Recommendation to approve the attached 403(b)-retirement plan documents as provided by OMNI & TSACG Compliance Services, the District's third-party administrator. In order to maintain the qualified status of Lehighton's 403(b)-retirement plan, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) periodically requires employers that use pre-approved plan documents to formally restate their plans. These required restatements consolidate legislative, regulatory, and administrative changes that may have accumulated since the prior restatement and ensure the plan document remains fully compliant with current IRS and Department of Labor requirements.
