Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2026-01, approving the Settlement Agreement and General Release among the District, the Blue Mountain Education Association, and Employee #3335, as presented.

5.A.2. Resolution - Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Curriculum and Instruction - Annual Salary
Recommended Motion(s):
RESOLVED, that, before voting on the election of Brian L. Cote as Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Curriculum and Instruction, the Board of School Directors of the Blue Mountain School District fixes Mr. Cote's salary in that position at One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000) per year, prorated for the 2026-2027 school year from his first day of service. This resolution shall have no effect if Mr. Cote is not elected at this meeting.

5.A.3. Appointment of District Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
Recommended Motion(s):
RESOLVED, that, upon the nomination of the District Superintendent, the Board of School Directors of the Blue Mountain School District (1) elects Brian L. Cote as Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Curriculum and Instruction for a five-year term beginning on or before December 5, 2026, and ending five years after the start date, at the salary fixed for him by the Board earlier at this meeting; (2) approves the Employment Contract between the Board and Mr. Cote presented at this meeting; and (3) authorizes the Board President and Board Secretary to execute the Employment Contract on the Board's behalf. Mr. Cote's first day of service shall be a date set by the District Superintendent following his release by his current employer, and his compensation and benefits under the Employment Contract shall begin on that date.
