  B. Finance updates - Rob McKinney
- 2026/27 State Budget update - signed 07/12/2026
- Budget--to-Actuals discussion
Treasurer McKinney read thorough recaps on the PA State Budget that was signed by the Governor on 07/12/2026. Sources were PAPSA and Penn Policy. These documents were scanned and distributed to the entire Board who was not in attendance as a whole. Points covered were changes, flat-funded items, and cuts/reductions. An extensive discussion on the PA funding formula and the Adequacy funding (Ready to Learn Block Grant).
  C. Expansion of Physical Education - initial discussion/exploration We continued last month's discussion on expanding Physical Education in the High School. Dr. Mitzel asked for options and he'll begin researching ways to implement. The other Committees will likely be brought into the discussion.
  D. Discussion of any main meeting agenda items The Directors examined the Board Meeting agenda and we asked several questions to the Superintendent in preparation for the meeting.
  E. Open Floor Mrs. Brodbeck shared that Admin is following HB 1919 in the PA House, which would have significant impact for staff missing work due to injuries by students or the public during working hours. Workers Comp would not be used/affected under this potential law.
