The regular monthly meeting of the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 Board of Directors, held at the Conference Room of the Schuylkill Technology Center — South Campus, Mar Lin, Pennsylvania, will be called to order by President Scott Jacoby.

The Committee of the Whole will meet before the board meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Description:  Approve the Schuylkill Technology Center Financial Reports for April 2026 as presented.

Description:  Authorize the Superintendent of Record and the Director of Career and Technical Education to submit grant applications for the STC program throughout the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Grants that are approved will be submitted to the Board for acceptance or rejection at future board meetings.

Description:  Authorize that depositories be designated for the 2026-2027 fiscal year as presented.

Description:  Educational Support Professional Association

• (Helene) Sue O'Connell, full-time Custodial Maintenance at the North Campus, on June 30, 2026.
• Catherine Gervalis, part-time Paraprofessional at the North Campus, on June 2, 2026.

Description:  Education Support Professionals Association

• Yasmine Whalen, Pottsville, as a full-time Administrative Assistant at the South Campus, at an hourly rate of $15.50, start date to be determined. Ms. Whalen is replacing Kacey Harper.

Description:  Approve the agreed-upon Educational Support Personnel salaries for the 2026-2027 fiscal year as presented.

Description:  Acknowledge completion of the annual Director of CTE performance evaluation in accordance with the Pennsylvania School Code and PDE requirements.

Description:  Approve a one-time base salary increase of $5,000 to Shannon Brennan for the attainment of her Ph.D.

Description:  Approve a certification/track change for John Gower to Track E - Masters + 15, effective June 1, 2026, with compensation of his 2025-2026 salary + $1,500.

Description:  Approve an unpaid leave of absence for the following employee(s). The employee(s) will reimburse for the cost of health insurance for their absence when applicable.

• Employee #793, for personal reasons, on April 27, May 4, and 7, 2026
• Employee #957 for medical reasons on April 29 and May 1, 2026.
• Employee #1084 for medical reasons on May 13, 2026.

Description:  Grant authority to the Director of CTE to fill vacancies and transfer and employ the essential personnel in all programs operated by the Schuylkill Technology Center Board, with ratification at the July, August, and September 2026 Board Meetings. This authority is granted annually.

Description:  Approve the MOUs with the Pennsylvania State Police for both the North and South Campuses in compliance with Safe Schools.

Description:  Renew Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) financial information system (FIS) software services for the 2026-2027 fiscal year for the Schuylkill Technology Center for fund accounting, payroll, and personnel applications.

Description:  Renew Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) student information system (SIS) software services for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

Description:  Approve the renewal notice with Finalsite, Glastonbury, CT, for the website and content management, web hosting, and video publishing for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The software is used to host the STC website.

Description:  Enter into an agreement with Integra1, Allentown, PA, for the installation and upgrade of the STC firewall.

Description:  Approve the renewal notice with Linewize, San Diego, CA, for their Internet filter and classroom management software for the 2026-2027 school year.

Description:  Approve agreements between Schuylkill Technology Center and the participating districts in the National School Lunch Program for the 2026-2027 school year. A sample agreement is included.

Description:  Enter into an articulation agreement with Northampton Community College, Tannersville, for the transfer of credits for the Welding program.

Description:  Accept the proposal from The Nutrition Group as the Food Service Management Company contingent upon final review and approval by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition, for the period July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Description:  Approve a shared services agreement between the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 and the Schuylkill Technology Center.

Description:  Approve the ACT 93 and Support Staff Compensation Plans for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, as presented.

Description:  The 2025-2026 School Safety and Security Update will be presented to the Board of Directors during the Executive Session.  Disclosure of this information would be likely to jeopardize or threaten public safety, preparedness, or public protection.

Description:  Approve the Flexible Instructional Day (FID) Program and authorize administration to submit the PDE application and all required assurances on behalf of the school entity.

Description:  What's So Cool About Manufacturing - County Teachers' Meeting in the STC-South Conference Room on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the kick-off teacher meeting.

Mar Lin, PA (May 7, 2026) — The Schuylkill Technology Center partnered with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Number 1533 located in Frackville, PA, to honor 4 outstanding students enrolled in career and technical education at a breakfast event on 5/7/2026. This annual event honors the community service and dedication to the skilled trades that embody STC Students and aligns with the mission of the BOE Elks to empower youth and strengthen local neighborhoods.
Four students were selected from the 2025/2026 Students of the Semester to be honored by Elks for their outstanding achievements. The recipients honored this year were as follows:

• Emma Gutierrez-Zamudio, a Senior at Shenandoah Valley School District, enrolled in the Health Careers program at STC North.
• Wyatt Zendrosky, a senior at North Schuylkill School District, enrolled in the Residential and Industrial Electricity program at STC South.
• Piper Reinhart, a Senior at Blue Mountain Area School District, enrolled in the Emerging Health Professionals program at the North Campus.
• Naomi Carl, a Senior at Williams Valley School District, enrolled in the Cosmetology program at STC South.

Description:  Approve the 3rd Quarter Adult Education Fund Checking Account Report for 2025-2026 as presented.

• Rhonda Frantz, Frackville, as a part-time Administrative Assistant, at an hourly rate of $15.50, start date to be determined. This is a new position.

Description:  Approve additional instructor hours for Kimberly O'Neill, up to an additional 300 hours as per the CBA during summer 2026 for teaching and clinical coordination during the Practical Nursing program.

Description:  Approve an agreement with Lancaster County Career and Technical Education Center for the 2026-2027 academic school year at a rate of $80.00 per hour. This agreement is for financial aid consulting services and is not to exceed 50 hours.
