Meeting and Agendas and Minutes

The Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Harbor Creek Jr./Sr. High School Library. Each regular business meeting is advertised in the legal section of the local newspaper and meeting dates are posted on the district's web page (http://hcsd.iu5.org) under District Office. Occasionally, a holiday or other circumstances will alter this schedule. In such cases, public notice is made in advance of the change date in the local paper.

Board Committee Meetings, which address special issues, are also scheduled during the year. Issues are discussed but not acted upon until the regular Board meeting. These meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m., in the Harbor Creek Jr./Sr. High School Library, and are also advertised. The District Office part of the web page also lists dates and where the meetings are.

The Board may recess for an executive session during the course of a public meeting for one of the following reason: conferences, labor negotiations, employee relations, attorney or real estate.

The minutes of Board meetings are available to all residents of the District. The minutes are not official until approved at the subsequent Board meeting. They are available on the agenda of the month they are approved.
